About me

Hello, everyone, I am Chhavi Jagotta. Firstly, I would like to appreciate you for taking a step forward to prioritising your mental health and well-being. I was in grade 9th when I discovered there is something called “psychology” and it is a subject that studies human behaviour, experiences and mental processes. This is how I began my journey of psychology from school to college and now getting to work with people, understanding and helping them be their best version of themselves. Being a member of the Mental Health Community, we see and observe people doing so much for themselves, making themselves better, working on their education, clothes etc. There is nothing wrong with it, everyone wants to be their best, look their best, study at the best schools, and colleges and work in the best environment. We have focused so much on this area of our lives that we forgot our inner self, our mind. The tension between the inner self and outer self is common in the modern world. Each of us is tugged in multiple directions every day and our actions and behaviours do not always align with our core values as a result. However, becoming aware of your inner self and how it balances with your outer self is the foundation for good mental, physical, spiritual and psychological well-being. Our outer self is what we present to the world, and we usually try to curate it to reflect the best. However, problems arise when this becomes a habitual pattern at the expense of your true feelings. In contrast to the outer self, the inner self is about what can’t be seen: feelings, intuition, values, beliefs, personality, thoughts, emotions, fantasies, spirituality, desire, and purpose. The conflict between the two selves can result in stress and we often struggle to find the cause and solutions to them. Balancing our way with outer and inner selves is a key to finding congruence between the elements. In situations like these, I as a therapist would like to help you and guide you to find a solution. Through counselling sessions via chat, audio or video call where you and I can work collaboratively to find the solution. It will be a safe environment for you to express your emotions, feelings and thoughts. Be yourself because then only we will be able to understand and work upon the situations to make things better and healthier. You might find that only simple changes are required to be made such as slowing down, each day working on something or the other, taking time to address how you feel, listening to yourself and growing a flower of trust in your heart, that yes, I can do it. The more we understand ourselves, the better would be the results.
